For over 50 years The Casual Inn has served the community of Bristol and as we all cope with the things we cannot change, we hope to continue to provide you with wonderful meals that you can take from our family to yours. Our promise is we take cleanliness and food safety very seriously, now and always we adhere to strict food-handling standards. Our History

Portuguese and Italian flare along with local flavors of the freshest meat and seafood.  Our off the beaten path location has given us the reputation by many Bristolians as "Bristols BEST KEPT SECRET."  

 

The Casual Inn Restaurant was established in 1968 by Peter and Kathleen Benevides and has been family owned ever since. The business started as a sandwich shop not only for Peters Kaiser Aluminum Factory co-workers but so he could also earn extra income to send his oldest daughter Kathleen to college. As years progressed Proprietors; Peter and Kathleen developed an extensive dinner menu and full bar. During that time the restaurant attracted families, young couples and Roger Williams University students; a tradition that continues today. Madeira born daughter-in-law Chef Carmina learned all the original recipes and has a natural talent to bring them to life in addition to her own. All dishes are chef prepared and made to order, a tradition for over 50 years
